To edit is to unlock a text’s full potential. A great edit transforms the quality of a text and the experience of its readers. It can be the difference between approval or rejection, resources allocated or denied, a sale or no sale, and a cum laude or a summa cum laude. Most of what I do is a blend of copyediting, line editing and proofreading. When I edit, I take responsibility for the text, as if I were the co-author, assembling words into hard-working sentences that can be inhaled like ice cream. I have assisted authors to successfully submit papers to at least 90 journals. I’ve had the opportunity to edit a book chapter by the Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus. I also write or work on one-page project proposals, screenplay origination documents, research proposals, dissertations, blogs, advertising and digital copy, and PR.
